capricia lópez.
 born May 27th, 1985 capricia was the youngest of three children but yet still managed to steal the heart of her father because she was the baby, his little princess. even as a baby it was obvious that she would become a daddy's girl. it was the sound of her father's voice that put her to sleep at night and his voice that soothed her when she cried. the first word that capricia ever said was papi and it was even more obvious then that she favored him above all. as a toddler she looked up to her daddy and followed him around when she could crawl and when she could walk. as a little girl capricia turned to her father when she fell down and scraped her knee, to tuck her in and tell her bedtime stories, to hold her hand when she crossed the street, to carry her when she was too tired to walk, and to check for the monsters beneath her bed and in her closet. her mother was almost nonexistent to her because her mother busied herself with her catering business and the other children. even at a young age capricia preferred dirt over makeup, worms and bugs over dolls and barbies, and sports over baking. there was no meeting her mother half way and every dress her mother put on her she tore climbing trees or covered in mud and grass stains. it was her sister that was her mother's pride and joy and her brother that was capricia's partner in crime.
the boy next door, OPEN MALE, became capricia's best friend right off. it was impossible to separate the two of them because they had similar interests. watching their parents interact the two decided that they should be boyfriend and girlfriend and so they accepted the title and remained how they were before deciding to make it official. their days were spent together seeking and finding adventure whether it was imaginary or real. just like with most children 'dating' one another didn't last. one day they were boyfriend and girlfriend and the next they weren't. it was a repeated pattern that lasted until high school but no matter what the two remained best friends. what capricia didn't expect was to fall in love with her best friend. it seemed that every time she mustered up the courage to tell him something always prevented whether it was girls or just complicated situations. because of her silence the do never dated in high school and shared nothing more than friendship and snuggles when they'd sneak out at night and sleep in one of their beds together.
puberty did not change capricia's outlook on style or what she liked to do. although she noticed boys she was usually the friend and never the girlfriend. capricia could clean up quite nicely but it was always hanging out with the guys that made most of them view her as a sister or as one of the boys. she spent more time playing spots and listening to her friends talk about their latest conquests than she did with other females her age. true to her ways she wore blue jean shorts or shirts with hoodies, t-shirts, and tank tops every day to school and after school. the only time capricia wore anything else was when she went to the beach with friends or to prom with her best friend OPEN MALE. most girls would have been bothered to be considered just a friend or one of the guy's but capricia welcomed it because she figured that it kept her from ending up pregnant or brokenhearted. hearing the cruel things her guy friends aid about other girls reassured her that she made the right decision on remaining disinterested.
graduation from high school was a sad time for capricia because OPEN MALE moved away for college and she only had the summer to be a teenager with her friends before they all had to grow up. because she couldn't see herself as a young mother but had a love for children capricia decided to major in childhood education in college but then because she was afraid that maybe things wouldn't go over well she decided to double major in college. the second major was secondary education that she could have the freedom to teach different grades if she chose that path for any reason. it was in college that she fell in love with an art major who proposed to her during their junior year after two years of steadily dating. a little less than two weeks before the wedding she found her significant other in bed with a model he had chosen to do an nude portrait of. brokenhearted she continued out her time left in college by studying and dating guys but never entering any kind of relationship.
after graduating college she took the summer off to backpack through europe and it was there that she met massimo vivaldi. it was a summer fling that changed her outlook not only in love but in life. he made her aware of her raw feminine sexuality and showed her that she could have the best of both worlds. massimo was exactly what she needed to move past her previous engagement with the art major back in college and forward with her life as a whole. returning home with a new attitude and a new style capricia dressed in the clothes and accessories she picked up in paris and milan. confident and determined charlie set out to start out a new life with the experience of her old one. still young she kept her options open as she started her career and social life all at once. it was her mother that was the most shocked and whom first reached out desperately to kindle some kind of relationship with her daughter. despite still being a daddy's girl capricia was determined to give not only her brother and sister a change at a relationship with her but anyone who asked as well.
it was soon after returning home and starting her life again that capricia bumped into old friends and made new ones. determined not to lose any of her friends, especially her two best friends and close circle of friends, capricia made herself available to them as much as she could when she wasn't out living it up or working hard as at her day care. it seemed that meeting the right man would take time and so children would have to wait. because of the lack of mr. right in her life capricia looked at her 'students' as her own children and found herself to be content with that. she was aware that each year she'd lose her students only to get more but she enjoyed being able to touch as many lives as she could both inside the nursery with her 'children' and outside the nursery with adults in whatever way she could.
having spent her entire life as one of the guys or an insight to men capricia is happy to be able to be considered by both sexes a true friend. with the memory of massimo vivaldi in her mind capricia knows that she can find a healthy medium in nearly every aspect of her life whether it be with friends, style, hobbies, or whatever her heart desires. day by day people can find her just about anywhere whether it be playing sports while covered in dirt and dressed in over-sized men's clothing or shopping with her girls while dressed to the nines and flirting with strangers. she's not the type to let labels or people hold her back and keep her from living her life how she wants to. capricia lópez is exactly who she wants to be and doesn't want to be anyone else.
